시흥시, 청년 주도 지속가능 협력모델 본격화

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=시흥 이현준기자] 시흥시는 한국공학대학교 창업교육센터와 시흥시지속가능발전협의회가 청년이 함께하는 지속가능한 시흥 조성을 위해 지난 4월 13일 업무협약을 체결했다.

이번 협약은 지역 문제 해결과 창업 교육을 연계한 실천형 모델 구축을 목표로 하며 청년을 주축으로 지속가능발전목표(SDGs)를 지역 현장에 적용하는 로컬 기반 혁신 생태계 조성에 중점을 둔다.

양 기관은 시흥 SDGs 17개 목표 달성을 위한 공동 실천과 관련 창업 프로그램 개발 및 로컬·소셜·ESG 창업 활성화 등 다양한 분야에서 협력할 계획이다. 또한 캡스톤디자인과 해커톤 등 실천형 프로그램을 운영하고 시흥실록지리지와 같은 지역 기반 사업에서도 힘을 모으기로 했다.

이번 협력을 통해 청년들은 창업 과정에서 지역 의제를 직접 발굴하며 실질적인 사회적 가치를 창출하는 주체로 참여하게 된다.
