용인특례시, 주민참여예산학교 및 워크숍 개최

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=용인 이현준기자] 용인특례시는 지난 16일 주민참여예산제를 활성화하고 제8기 주민참여예산위원회의 역량을 강화하기 위해 주민참여예산학교와 워크숍을 개최했다.

이번 교육은 지난달 새롭게 구성된 위원들을 대상으로 주민참여예산제의 개념과 운영 절차, 제안사업 심의 방법 등 실무 중심으로 진행됐다. 이어진 워크숍에서는 실효성 있는 사업 발굴 방향을 논의하고 위원장과 부위원장 선출도 함께 치러졌다.

이상일 시장은 향후 반도체 기업 입주 등으로 지방세 세수가 늘어나면 시 발전과 시민 생활 향상을 위한 과감한 투자와 주민참여예산 지원을 적극적으로 하겠다고 밝혔다. 시는 지난해 청년 이사비 지원 등 총 18건(129억 원)의 주민 제안 사업을 선정해 올해 예산에 반영해 추진 중이다.

이번 주민참여예산학교와 워크숍은 새로 출범한 제8기 위원회의 전문성을 높여 예산 편성 과정의 공정성과 투명성을 한층 강화하는 효과를 낼 것으로 전망된다.
