이번 사업은 국민체육진흥기금과 복권기금의 재정후원으로 운영됐으며, 평소 고가의 비용으로 인해 도입이 어려웠던 첨단 운동 장비를 대거 확보함으로써 장애인 생활체육의 질적 수준을 한 단계 높였다는 평가를 받는다.
