경기주택도시공사, 공원녹지 배출권거래제 외부사업 첫 등록

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 이현준기자] 경기주택도시공사(GH)는 광명시흥 도시첨단산업단지 내 공원녹지를 활용한 ‘산림부문 배출권거래제 외부사업’의 정부 공식 승인 및 등록을 완료했다.

GH가 추진한 배출권거래제 외부사업으로는 최초 사례다.

이번 사업은 산업단지 내 약 3.4헥타르 규모의 공원과 녹지에 식생을 복원하여 탄소흡수원을 증진하는 방식으로 추진된다. 농림축산식품부(수탁기관: 한국임업진흥원) 및 환경부 배출량인증위원회의 심의를 거쳐 사업 타당성과 감축계획을 공식 인정받았다.
