여주시, 안전한 통학환경을 위한 합동점검 실시

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=여주 이현준기자] 여주시는 내년 3월 여주초등학교 이전 개교에 따라 통학안전 합동점검을 실시했다.

이번 합동점검에는 여주초 인근 주민, 학부모, 여주초등학교, 여주교육지원청, 여주경찰서 관계자와 여주시청 5개 부서에서 30여 명이 참여했다.

참가자들은 여주초-우남퍼스트빌-휴먼빌-LH아파트-동부센트레빌로 이어지는 통학로를 함께 걸으며 아이들의 눈높이에서 통학 안전에 위해요소가 없는지 꼼꼼하게 살폈다. 이어진 회의에서 지역주민과 학부모들은 여주역 굴다리 환경개선, 어린이보호구역 지정, 여주초 인근 횡단보도 개선 등을 건의했다.
