여주시, 장애인 평생교육 우수사례 2개 기관 선정 쾌거

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=여주 이현준기자] 여주시는 「2025년 장애인경계선지능인 평생교육 우수사례 발표회」에서 심청이골시각장애인재활센터와 버팀목장애인야학 두 곳이 ‘장애인 평생교육 우수사례’ 기관으로 선정됐다고 밝혔다.

이번 우수사례 공모는 경기도 내 장애인 및 경계선 지능인의 평생 교육 활성화를 위해 추진됐으며, 각 시군의 추천을 받은 프로그램 중 교육의 적절성, 효율성, 효과성, 확산 가능성 등을 종합적으로 심사해 장애인 부문 10개, 경계선 지능인 부문 5개 프로그램이 최종 선정됐다.

여주시의 심청이골시각장애인재활센터는 「시각장애인을 위한 챗GPT 활용법」 프로그램을 통해 디지털 접근성이 낮은 시각장애인들에게 인공지능 도구를 활용한 자기 주도 학습의 기회를 제공하며 우수 사례로 평가받았고, 버팀목장애인야학은 「나도 펫 시터」 프로그램을 통해 반려동물 돌봄 교육을 중심으로 장애인의 직업 능력 향상과 사회 참여 확대를 도모하여 높은 호응을 얻었다.
