광명시 첫 공립 역사관 ‘광명역사관’ 공식 개관

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=광명 이현준기자] 광명시가 지역의 역사와 정체성을 담은 ‘광명역사관’을 공식 개관했다.

시는 15일 광명문화원에서 시민, 전문가, 관계자 등이 참여한 가운데 개관식과 ‘광명시 학술포럼’을 열고 광명의 역사적 가치와 향후 발전 방향을 논의했다.

광명역사관은 광명문화원 2층(하안동 철망산로 42)에 위치한 광명시 최초의 공립 역사관으로, 시민이 기증·기탁한 고문서 700점과 민속품 300점 등 총 1천여 점의 유물을 보관·전시하고 있다.

주요 시설은 ▲40여 점의 유물을 전시한 상설전시실 ▲전시실에 없는 유물을 살펴볼 수 있는 보이는 수장고 ▲광명의 대표 역사 인물을 소개하는 실감영상실 등으로 구성해 시민이 광명의 역사와 문화를 직접 체험할 수 있도록 했다.

이날 개관식은 광명문화원 학예사의 역사관 조성 과정 발표로 시작해 ‘광명, 역사를 품고 미래를 열다’를 주제로 한 광명시 학술포럼으로 이어졌다.

포럼에서는 정원용, 무의공 이순신, 오리 이원익 등 광명의 대표 역사인물을 중심으로 한 문화유산·콘텐츠 발굴 방안과 향후 광명역사문화박물관 건립 방향 및 공립박물관과 지역공동체의 상생 방안 등이 논의됐다.

이어 “오늘 개관 기념 학술포럼에서 논의한 다양한 의견을 바탕으로 향후 건립될 ‘광명역사문화박물관’을 시민과 함께 만들어 가겠다”고 말했다.

광명역사관은 지난 10월 1일부터 시범 운영을 거쳐 이날 정식 개관했으며, 평일 오전 9시 30분부터 오후 5시 30분까지 운영한다. 주말과 공휴일은 휴관이며, 관람료는 무료다.
