이천시, 야외 도서관 '난생처음 도서관' 개장

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=이천 이현준기자] 이천시 도서관은 오는 18일 토요일 경기도자미술관 뮤지엄광장에서 시민과 책이 만나는 야외 도서관 '난생처음 도서관'의 문을 연다.

난생처음 도서관은 시민 누구나 잔디 위에서 책을 읽고 다양한 독서 연계 체험을 즐길 수 있도록 마련된 특별한 야외 팝업도서관이다. 올해 처음 선보이는 이번 행사는 책과 친하지 않은 시민도 즐겁게 책을 경험할 수 있도록 프로그램을 구성했다.

개막식은 이날 오후 3시부터 진행되며, 미니 공연에 이어 김영하 작가가 '왜 책을 읽는가'를 주제로 시민들과 만나는 북콘서트로 행사의 첫 문을 연다. 이번 강연에서는 수많은 콘텐츠가 넘쳐나는 시대 속에서 우리가 책을 읽어야 하는 이유와 그 의미를 함께 나누는 시간을 마련한다. 이 북콘서트는 사전접수 시작과 동시에 조기 마감될 정도로 시민들의 뜨거운 관심을 받았다.
