수원특례시의회 조미옥 의원, 도시재생 및 거점시설 사후관리 간담회 개최

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 이현준기자] 수원특례시의회 도시미래위원회 조미옥 의원(더불어민주당, 평·금곡·호매실동)은 지난 9일 의회 도시미래위원회 회의실에서 '수원시 도시재생 및 거점시설 사후관리 간담회'를 주재했다.

이번 간담회는 제395회 임시회 제1차 본회의에서 5분 자유발언을 통해 제기한 도시재생 거점시설의 사후관리 문제를 구체적으로 점검하고 개선방향을 모색하기 위해 마련됐다.

조미옥 의원은 “수원시가 그간 도시재생사업을 적극 추진했음에도, 육성 된 사회적협동조합이나 마을관리기업이 없다”며, “일부 공간은 특정 단체에 사유화되기도 하고,홍보와 참여가 부족한 것 아니겠느냐”고 강하게 지적했다. 이어 “거점시설은 시민의 세금으로 만들어진 만큼 최선을 다해 운영해보고, 여러 이유로 운영이 어렵다면 과감히 선택과 집중이 필요하다”며, 한정된 자원을 효율적으로 쓰는 현실적 접근도 주문했다.

반면 실무진들은 현장에서 겪고 있는 인력·예산 문제, 주민 참여 저조 등 운영의 실제 애로사항을 허심탄회하게 전하며 공감을 이끌어냈다.
