여주시, 고용주 안전교육 실시

【브레이크뉴스 경기남부 = 여주 이현준 기자】 여주시가  고용주(농업인) 150여 명을 대상으로 폭염 대응을 위한 외국인 계절근로자 안전과 고용주 준수사항을 실시했다.

이날 교육은 지난 1일, 여주시 농업기술센터 대회의실에서 외국인 계절근로자를 고용하고 있는 이례적인 폭염 경보가 지속적으로 발효됨에 따라 외국인 계절근로자 온열질환 예방 수칙과 안내 사항을 등을 고용주에게 전달함으로써 사고를 예방하고자 고용주를 대상으로 진행 소식을 했다.

여주시는 심각한 농촌 인력 부족 문제를 극복하기 위해 2023년부터 농업 분야 외국인 계절근로자를 배정받아 농가형, 공공형 등 다양한 제도를 운영 중이며 올해에는 법무부로부터 근로자 1,428명을 배정받아 7월말 기준 1,337명이 여주시에 체류하며 농업분야에 종사하고 있다.
