시흥시, 자활기금 제도 전면 개편

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=시흥 이현준기자] 시흥시는 자활사업의 내실화를 도모하고 자활기금의 신속하고 효율적인 운용을 위해 ‘시흥시 자활기금 설치 및 운용 조례’를 전부 개정하고, 이에 따라 ‘자활기금운용심의위원회’를 9월 중에 신설한다.

이번 조례 개정은 기존의 자활기금 ‘특별회계’를 ‘기금’으로 전환함으로써 기금 운용의 자율성과 신속성을 확보하기 위한 것으로, 지난 7월 제329회 시흥시의회 임시회에서 의결됐다. 자활사업이 복잡한 행정 절차 없이 실질적으로 집행될 수 있도록 기금 체계 전환을 통해 행정 유연성을 높인 것이다.
