경기지역화폐, 카카오페이와 연동...모든 스마트폰에서 이용 가능

경기도는 경기지역화폐 이용자의 편의성을 높이고 신규 사용자 유입을 늘리기 위해 모바일 간편결제 서비스를 확대한다고 26일 밝혔다.

삼성페이와 연동한 경기지역화폐 간편결제 서비스는 2021년 6월 1일 도입됐으나, 이는 안드로이드 기반 스마트폰 사용자에게만 해당돼 iOS를 운영체제로 하는 아이폰 사용자들은 간편결제를 이용할 수 없었다. 또 삼성페이 시스템 장애 발생에 대비한 추가적인 간편결제 수단의 필요성도 제기돼 왔다.
