전 세계적으로 기후변화 대응과 친환경 에너지 전환이 중요한 가운데, 시흥시 클린에너지센터가 국제적인 주목을 받고 있는 것이다.

이번 방문은 3월 17일부터 이틀간 개최된 제10차 한(韓)-싱가포르 기후변화대화에 싱가포르지속가능환경부 기후변화 대표단이 참석하면서 성사됐다. 이날은 우리나라 외교부 대표단이 이들과 함께 시흥시에 방문해 친환경 에너지 생산 및 폐기물감량화 처리 시스템을 견학했다.
