[브레이크뉴스경기남부=광명 이현준기자] 박승원 광명시장이 공공주택사업자의 공공시설 확충 의무화를 위해 경기중부권 도시들의 연대와 협력을 강조했다.

박 시장은 18일 광명시청 중회의실에서 열린 ‘제91차 경기중부권행정협의회 정기회의’에서 “도시 경쟁력 강화와 시민들의 삶의 질 향상을 위한 생활 SOC 확보를 위해 지속적인 협력과 공동 대응을 이어가야 한다”고 말했다.

이어 “공공주택 개발사업은 단순한 주택 공급이 아니라, 시민들의 생활 기반을 조성하는 과정”이라며 “주차장, 복지·문화·체육시설 등 생활 SOC가 충분히 확보될 수 있도록 경기 중부권 도시들이 힘을 모아 공공주택사업자의 공공시설 조성 의무를 강화하는 제도 개선을 추진해야 한다”고 강조했다.

박 시장의 이러한 제안은 광명시를 비롯한 경기 중부권 지역에서 공공주택 개발사업이 활발하게 진행되고 있어, 이에 따른 정주 환경 개선과 생활 인프라 확충 필요성이 부각되며 이뤄졌다.

이날 회의에는 경기중부권 7개 도시(안산, 안양, 시흥, 광명, 군포, 의왕, 과천) 시장이 참석해 공동 발전을 위한 현안을 논의했다.
