이번 협약으로 임목폐기물을 재활용함으로써 시가 그간 별도로 부담해야 했던 임목부산물의 폐기물 처리 비용을 연간 1억 원가량 절감할 수 있을 것으로 보고 있다.

시는 올해 말까지 시범 운영을 거쳐 임야와 공원까지 운영 범위 확대를 검토할 계획이다.
