[브레이크뉴스경기남부=광명 이현준기자] 광명시가 광명시흥 3기 신도시를 성공적으로 개발하기 위해 13일 ‘광명미래도시위원회 자문회의’를 개최했다.

광명미래도시위원회는 박승원 광명시장이 위원장으로, 도시계획, 교통, 도로, 상·하수도, 환경, 스마트도시 등 관련분야 전문가 17명으로 구성된 위원회이다. 자족형 명품도시로 전환을 준비하기 위해 2022년 12월 출범했다.

이날 박승원 광명시장을 비롯한 시 관계자와 광명미래도시위원회 위원, 강신정 한국토지주택공사(LH) 지역협력관 등 20여 명이 참석해, 지난해 12월 30일 승인된 광명시흥 공공주택지구 지구계획의 적정성을 검토하고 향후 지구계획 1차 변경에 대비한 주요 현안을 논의했다.

경제중심도시, 녹색도시, 탄탄한 SOC를 기반으로 한 안정적 주거환경 조성 등 시민이 바라는 미래 100년을 준비하기 위한 시의 핵심 요구사항이 계획에 제대로 반영될 수 있도록 방안을 논의했다.

주요 현안은 공공시설, 신도시 특화, 자족, 토지이용, 도로·교통, 환경 등 6개 분야였다.

신도시 내 공공시설 용지를 효율적으로 활용해 충분한 공공시설을 확보하고, 글로벌 문화수도·스마트도시 실현을 위한 신도시 특화 기반을 마련하는 방안을 논의했다. 또한, 목감천 수변공간과 목감천 저류지를 활용한 공원 조성 특화 방안도 검토했다.

아울러 파크스퀘어, 어반스퀘어, 커뮤니티스퀘어, 연구·개발 복합시설(R&D COMPLEX) 등 4개의 특별계획구역을 고밀·복합 개발해 자족용지를 효율적으로 활용하는 방안을 심도 있게 논의하고, GTX-D, 남북철도 등 철도계획과 연계한 장래 교통계획을 수립하기 위한 대응책을 검토했다.

더불어, 지속가능한 도시 조성을 위한 탄소저감 방안을 마련하고, 친환경 미래 도시로 발전하기 위한 방향성을 공유했다.

박 시장은 “광명시흥 신도시는 광명시 미래 100년을 준비하는 중요한 개발사업으로, 모든 세대가 어우러져 주거와 직장, 즐거움이 공존하는 살기 좋은 도시로 만들어야 한다”며 “신도시 특화와 효율적인 토지이용을 위한 구체적 방안을 마련해야 할 때이다”고 말했다.

시는 이날 나온 의견에 전문가 검토와 자문을 바탕으로 시 요구사항이 최대한 반영할 수 있도록 사업시행자 등 관계기관과 적극적으로 협의해 나갈 계획이다.

또한 신도시 입주민의 불편이 없도록 입주 시기에 맞춰 공공시설, 기반 시설이 설치될 수 있도록 차질 없이 준비해 나갈 예정이다.
