권기호 수원특례시의원, 공인중개사 관리·감독 체계 강화 촉구

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=용인 이현준기자] 수원특례시의회 도시환경위원회 권기호 의원은 지난 19일 권선구청을 대상으로 진행된 2024년도 행정사무감사에서 공인중개사의 불법행위 방지와 공무원의 지도·감독 체계 강화를 강력히 촉구했다.

권 의원은 최근 사회적으로 큰 문제로 떠오른 전세사기 피해와 관련하여, “공인중개사의 불법행위를 사전에 차단하고 시민들의 피해를 방지하기 위해 철저한 관리와 감독이 필요하다”며 강력한 대응을 주문했다. 현재 수원시는 공인중개사의 불법행위가 적발될 경우 ▲영업정지 ▲과태료 부과 ▲수사의뢰 등의 조치를 취하고 있다. 이에 대해 권 의원은 “이러한 제재가 실제로 효과적으로 집행되고 있는지 철저히 점검해야 한다”며 현행 관리 체계의 실효성을 확인할 것을 요구했다.

또한 “토지관리과 내 공인중개사 자격증 소지자가 없는 상황이 지도·감독 업무에 영향을 미치지 않는지 면밀히 검토할 필요가 있다”고 지적했다. 이에 대해 부서는 “현행 법령에 따라 공무원들이 부동산 행정을 지도·감독하는 데 필요한 역량을 갖추고 있으며, 업무를 충분히 수행하고 있다”고 답변했다.
