이 시장은 먼저 기흥구 보라동 나곡중학교 통학로의 차양막 설치 현장을 찾았다.

 

나곡중학교는 지난해 학교장 간담회에서 학생들의 안전한 통학을 위해 차양막을 설치해 달라는 건의를 했다.

 

시는 지난해 1억원을 투입해 통학로 150m 구간에 차양막을 우선 설치하고, 올해 2억원을 투입해 220m 구간에 차양막을 추가로 설치하고 보도까지 포장했다. 이 학교에 설치된 차양막 길이는 370m로, 관내 학교 주변에 설치된 것들 가운데 가장 긴 것이다.
