벤치마킹은 화성 함백산추모공원과 용인 평온의숲으로 이날 .김승겸 대표의원을 비롯한 이기형·유승영 의원과 외부 전문가 위원, 복지국장, 도시계획과 상임기획팀장 등 관계공무원이 참석한 가운데 지속가능한 장사시설 및 장례문화를 답사하여 향후 평택시 종합장사시설 건립에 반영 및 활용하고자 추진됐다.

오전에는 화성에 위치한 함백산추모공원에 방문해 시설 투어 및 종합장사시설 건립에 따른 주민 갈등 해결 방안, 혜택 방안 등을 청취했고, 오후에는 용인에 위치한 평온의숲에 방문해 종합장사시설 건축물 배치, 자연장지 등을 견학했다.
