여주시, 2023 대한민국 쌀페스타 “대왕님표 여주쌀”쌀브랜드부문 대상 수상

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=여주 이귀선기자]  여주시(시장 이충우)는 “대왕님표 여주쌀”이 쌀브랜드부문 대상(농촌진흥청장상)을 수상했다고 밝혔다.

여주시에 따르면 지난 17일 서울시청광장에서 열린“2023 대한민국 쌀페스타”시상식에서 동아일보 주최·주관하에  “여주 대왕님표”브랜드는 끊임없는 품질개발과 양질의 서비스 구현으로 소비자에게 안정성과 신뢰성을 확보하고 있다는 평가를 받고 있으며, 이날 시상식에는 여주시 관계자와 농협중앙회 여주시지부, 여주시농협조합공동사업법인 관계자 등이 참석해 수상 소식을 전했다.

 이충우 여주시장은 수상소감을 통하여 “전국유일의 쌀산업특구에 걸맞는 대한민국 최고의 여주쌀 및 가공식품 등을 만드는데 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

 한편 여주시는 대왕님표 여주쌀을 최고품질의 쌀로 인정받기 위해 오는 12월 일본 진남정에서 주최하는 쌀 품평회에 진상미를 출품할 예정이며, 품격 높은 여주쌀 홍보로 유통시장에서 경쟁력을 확보할 계획이라고 밝혔다.
