여주시 2023년 교통안전 및 교통사고 줄이기 캠페인 실시

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=여주 이귀선기자] 한국교통장애인협회 여주시지회(회장 안용운)는 지난 12일 '2023년 교통안전 및 교통사고 줄이기 캠페인'을 실시했다.

한국교통장애인협회 여주시지회에 따르면 회원들과 경기도 지회 임원들이 모여 여주 시내를 순회하며 여주시민에게 교통사고의 심각성을 전파하고 사고발생을 감소시키고자 실시하는 캠페인이라고 전했다.

이 날 한국교통장애인협회 경기도 협회장, 군포시, 가평군, 수원시, 의왕시, 평택시, 남양주시, 하남시 지회 등 각 지회에서 참석하여 캠페인이 성공적으로 이루어질 수 있게 힘을 보태주었다.

경찰차를 비롯한 교통사고 예방캠페인 차량 5대를 동원하여, 여주 신륵사를 시작으로 여주법원-상리사거리-여주시청-여흥초등학교-장애인복지관-세종여주병원-세종국악당-여주소방서까지 순회하였으며 교통안전에 대한 안내방송과 현수막으로 많은 시민들의 주의를 이끌었다.

출발 전 안전벨트 착용, 졸음운전과 음주운전에 대한 경고, 안전수칙 준수의 필요성을 강조하였으며, 안용운 여주시지회장은 “이번 캠페인을 통해 올바른 운전습관이 널리 자리 잡기를 바라며, 교통사고로 인한 장애인이 더 이상 발생하지 않길 바란다.”고 전했다.
