광주시, ‘2025년 공공하수도 운영·관리 실태 점검’ 우수기관 선정

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=광주 이현준기자] 광주시는 지난달 27일 발표된 ‘2025년 공공하수도 운영·관리 실태 점검’에서 우수기관으로 선정돼 환경부 장관으로부터 우수상을 수상했다.

이번 실태 점검은 2024년 한 해 동안 전국 160개 지방자치단체의 공공하수도 운영·관리 수준을 대상으로 실시된 국가 평가로 하수도 안전사고 예방 및 대응체계 구축, 하수처리 효율성, 에너지 자립률 등 총 47개 세부 항목에 대해 종합적으로 평가가 이뤄졌다.

평가는 유역권별 유역환경청을 비롯해 한국상하수도협회, 한국환경공단이 공동으로 진행했다.

광주시는 하수도 시설의 체계적 유지관리, 사고 예방 중심의 현장 관리 강화, 에너지 효율 개선 노력 등 전반적인 운영 수준에서 높은 평가를 받아 우수한 성과를 거두며 우수상을 수상하는 영예를 안았다.
