경상원, 파주시 '심학산 빛의 거리'로 야간 경제 활성화 성공

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 이현준기자] 경기도시장상권진흥원(이하 경상원)이 지난해 '경기도 브랜드 거리 육성사업'의 일환으로 조성했던 '심학산 빛의 거리'가 지역 경제 활성화 성공 사례로 주목받고 있다.

경상원은 '심학산 빛의 거리' 조성 이후 인근 상권 저녁 시간대 매출액이 점심 시간대 매출액과 동일한 수준으로 올랐다고 2일 밝혔다. '경기도 브랜드 거리 육성사업'은 상권과 문화를 융합해 골목 상권을 활성화하기 위한 사업으로, 지난해 파주돌곶이길상인회가 대상지로 선정됐다.

조성 이후 야간 영업시간 연장, 빛의 거리 홍보 등 상인회 후속 활동까지 더해지면서 저녁 시간대(18시~23시) 매출액이 주간 핵심 시간(점심시간)대 매출액과 동일한 수준으로 오른 것으로 나타났다.

특히 저녁 시간대 심학산 돌곶이길 상권의 평균 매출 규모는 파주시 외식업 평균 매출액 대비 약 2배 이상 높았다.
