‘2025 청년 엔지니어 육성 포럼’서 지역 산업 미래 논의

【브레이크뉴스 경기남부 = 시흥 이현준 기자】 시흥시가  ‘2025년 청년 엔지니어 육성 포럼’을 열었다. 

지난 11월 27일 서울대학교 시흥캠퍼스에서 진행된 행사는 박승삼 시흥시 부시장, 김동현 경기도일자리재단 남부사업본부장, 안진경 시흥고용복지플러스센터 소장 등 산ㆍ관ㆍ학 관계자 50여 명이 참석해 시흥스마트허브의 지속 가능한 성장과 청년 고용 활성화를 위한 다양한 협력 방안을 공유했다.

포럼에서는 ▲2025년 청년 엔지니어 육성사업 운영성과(경기도일자리재단 조성재 대리) ▲시흥스마트허브 청년고용 실태조사(㈜유퍼런스 오선주 대표) ▲청년 엔지니어 육성 모형 연구(한성대 봉미란 교수) 등 핵심 발표가 진행됐다. 이어 ‘청년 고용 활성화를 위한 산ㆍ관ㆍ학 협력의 지향점’을 주제로 한 지정토론이 이어져 현장의 문제와 정책 방향에 대한 실질적 논의가 이뤄졌다.

박승삼 부시장은 개회사를 통해 “지역 산업의 구인난과 청년들의 성장 문제를 동시에 해결하기 위해서는 산ㆍ관ㆍ학이 함께 만드는 협력 생태계가 무엇보다 중요하다”라며 “시는 청년 엔지니어가 지역에서 배우고 성장하고 정착할 수 있는 기반을 더 강화해 나가겠다”라고 말했다.

시흥시와 경기도일자리재단은 올해부터 지역 제조업의 청년 인력난을 해소하고 청년의 성장 기반을 강화하기 위해 ‘청년 엔지니어 육성사업’을 공동 추진하고 있다. 시는 이번 포럼에서 논의된 의견을 토대로 청년 기술인재의 지역 정주 기반을 강화하고, 시흥스마트허브 산업 생태계의 지속 가능한 성장 전략을 마련해 나갈 계획이다.
