용인특례시, ‘아동친화도시’ 관련 정책 ‘도시브랜드 부문’ 대상 수상

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=용인 이현준기자] 용인특례시는 ‘아동친화도시’ 관련 정책으로 ‘대한민국 소비자신뢰 대표브랜드’에서 ‘도시브랜드 부문’ 대상을 수상했다고 25일 밝혔다.

시는 지난해에 이어 올해도 대상을 수상하면서 아동이 살기 좋은 도시 위상을 입증했다.

(사)한국브랜드경영협회가 주최하고 산업통상자원부와 농림축산식품부가 공동후원하는 ‘대한민국 소비자신뢰 대표브랜드 대상’은 부문별로 소비자에게 높은 신뢰를 얻는 브랜드를 선정해 상을 수여한다.

이번 평가는 315개 지방자치단체 브랜드 중 소비자 사전조사를 통해 63개 후보를 선정하고, ▲소비자 인지도 ▲선호도 ▲만족도 등을 종합적으로 평가했다.

아동이 행복하고 건강하게 성장할 수 있는 환경을 조성하기 위해 노력해 온 용인특례시는 지난 2020년 1월 유니세프한국위원회로부터 ‘아동친화도시’로 인증받았다.

이어 ▲아동 권리 존중 ▲아동이 살기 좋은 환경 조성 ▲아동의 안전이 우선되는 도시 조성 ▲아동의 교육·건강·복지 서비스 제공 등 체계적인 정책을 수립해 진행한 결과 지난 2024년 12월 ‘아동친화도시 상위단계 인증’을 받았다.

이상일 시장은 “아동이 행복한 도시를 만들기 위해 수요자 중심의 정책을 적극 시행한 것이 지난해에 이어 올해에도 좋은 평가를 받았다”며 “어린이부터 어르신까지 세대별로 보다 나은 생활을 할 수 있도록 맞춤형 정책 계속 발굴해서 이행하는 노력을 기울일 것”이라고 말했다.
