용인특례시, 2025 매니페스토 우수사례 경진대회‘최우수상’수상

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=용인 이현준기자] 용인특례시는 ‘2025 전국 기초단체장 매니페스토 우수사례 경진대회’에서 최우수상을 수상했다고 25일 밝혔다.

 

올해로 15회를 맞은 이번 대회는 (사)한국매니페스토실천본부와 경북연구원이 공동 주최하는 전국 최대 규모의 정책 경진대회로, 민선 8기 기초자치단체장의 공약 이행과 정책 성과를 평가해 우수사례를 발굴·시상하는 행사다.

 

전국에서 제출된 401건의 사례 가운데 191건이 본선에 진출했으며, 용인특례시는 ‘인구 구조 변화 대응’ 분야에서 ‘빈틈없는 초고령화 정책’을 주제로 발표해 전국 최우수 지방자치단체로 선정됐다.

 

이상일 시장은 “용인특례시는 얼마 전 인구의 날 기념식에서 세대별 맞춤형 인구정책 시행으로 대통령 표창을 받았다”며 “시가 어린이부터 어르신까지 세대별로 좋은 정책을 계속 발굴해서 시행하고 있는 데, 특히 어르신들을 위한 창조적이고 다양한 정책들이 한국매니페스토실천본부 주관 경진대회에서 높은 평가를 받아 보람을 느낀다"고 말했다.

 

용인특례시는 그동안 초고령사회 진입에 대응하기 위한 정책을 다각도로 진행해 왔다.

 

특히 형광등 교체, 문고리 수리 등 경미하지만 홀로 거주하는 노인들이 스스로 해결하기 어려운 문제를 지원하는 ‘잔고장 출장수리 서비스’, 냉장고 정리와 주방 위생 관리 등 가사 돌봄 서비스를 제공하는 ‘냉장고를 부탁해’ 사업은 일상 속 불편을 해소하고 어르신의 삶의 질 향상에 기여하고 있다는 평가를 받았다.

 

시는 디지털 기술을 접목한 스마트 복지정책도 적극 추진 중이다.

 

현재 3개 구 노인복지관과 구갈다목적복지회관에 AI와 VR 장비를 활용한 ‘건강체험 스페이스’를 운영 중이며, 하루 약 6000명의 어르신이 이용하고 있다. 오는 10월에는 과학기술정보통신부 공모사업을 통해 현재 7곳인 스마트 경로당을 67곳으로 확대할 계획이다.

 

건강 모니터링과 비대면 돌봄이 가능한 ‘용인실버케어순이’, 안부 확인과 복약 알림 기능이 탑재된 ‘디지털 시니어케어’는 어르신의 고립을 예방하고 돌봄 부담을 줄이는 데 기여하고 있다.

 

시는 어르신 일자리 사업은 전국적으로도 차별성과 창의성을 인정받았다.
