여주시보건소·보건지소·진료소 무더위 쉼터로 개방

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=여주 이현준기자] 여주시는 연일 계속되는 폭염에 대비하고자 보건소·보건지소·진료소 등 21개소 보건기관을 주민들을 위해 무더위 쉼터로 개방한다고 지난 16일 밝혔다.

현재 전국 대부분 지역에 폭염특보가 발효된 가운데, 특히 만성질환자와 고령층 등 폭염 취약계층의 건강 보호를 위한 지역 보건기관의 역할이 더욱 강조되고 있다.

여주시는 이번 무더위 쉼터로 개방하기에 앞서, 지난 15일 보건소에서 지소·진료소 월례 회의를 통해 직원들에게 폭염대비 예방 수칙 안내 및 온열질환 관련 응급환자 발생 시 행동 요령 등 다양한 서비스에 대한 교육도 실시하였다.

무더위 쉼터로 운영되는 보건지소·진료소는 평일 오전 9시부터 오후 6시까지 개방되며, 시민들은 가까운 보건기관을 자유롭게 이용할 수 있다.또한 이 기간에 이용객들을 대상으로 폭염 예방을 위한 간단한 보건교육도 병행할 예정이다.
