용인특례시, 처인구 포곡 금어교 4차선 확장 공사 착공

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=용인 이현준기자] 용인특례시는 지난 14일 처인구 포곡읍 금어리 일원의 도시계획도로 중1-50호금어교 재가설 공사에 착공했다.

이번 공사는 2015년 둔전초등학교 학생들의 안전한 통학로 확보와 지역 간 도로 연결망 구축을 위해 일부 구간(1구간) 공사를 완료한 데 이어, 현재 2차선인 금어교를 4차선으로 확장·재가설하는 사업이다.

사업비 전액은 금어지구 개발사업 시행자가 부담하며, 공사는 금어지구 내 공동주택 ‘한라 에피트’의 입주 시기와 연계해 2027년 상반기 준공을 목표로 진행된다.

시는 금어교 확장과 함께 향후 입주에 따른 교통량 증가에 선제적으로 대응해 교통 혼잡과 주민 불편을 사전에 방지할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다.
