[브레이크뉴스경기남부=광명 이현준기자] 광명시가 오는 22일 지구를 지키는 시간 ‘어스아워(Earth Hour)’ 캠페인에 동참한다.

‘어스아워’는 WWF(세계자연기금)에서 주최하는 전 세계적 환경 보호 캠페인이다. 매년 3월 마지막 토요일 저녁 8시 30분부터 9시 30분까지 1시간 동안 전등을 끄는 상징적 행동으로 기후위기 대응과 자연보전의 중요성을 알리고 있다. 올해는 오는 22일 개최한다.

2007년 호주 시드니에서 시작해 올해 19회를 맞이했고 전 세계 180여 개국이 함께하고 있다. 국내에서는 YTN서울타워, 롯데월드타워, 광안대교 등 주요 랜드마크가 참여한다.
