[브레이크뉴스경기남부=광명 이현준기자] 광명시에 청년 예술가들이 마음껏 창작활동을 펼칠 수 있는 공간인 ‘광명청년예술공장’이 14일 문을 열었다.

이날 개관식에는 박승원 광명시장을 비롯한 국회의원, 시·도의원, 광명시 문화예술 단체장과 청년예술인 등이 참석해 ‘광명청년예술공장’의 시작을 축하했다.

‘광명청년예술공장’은 청년 예술가들이 지역 내에서 자유롭고 다채로운 창작활동을 이어갈 수 있는 환경을 마련하고자 조성됐다.

이곳은 광명시업사이클아트센터가 가학동에서 하안동으로 이전하면서 발생한 유휴공간을 리모델링했으며 지상 1~2층, 건축면적 450㎡ 규모로 조성됐다. 광명문화재단에서 위탁 운영한다.

1층은 지역 청년 예술가들의 창작활동과 문화교류가 이루어지는 공동공간으로 광명시 청년 예술가 누구나 공간 대관이 가능하며 시민 대상 오픈 클래스도 운영할 예정이다.
