[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 오경희기자] 경기주택도시공사(GH)가 올해부터 공급하는 공공분양주택 특별공급 물량 중 군인 특별공급 비율을 확대한다고 10일 밝혔다.

올 상반기에 분양하는 평택고덕 A4블록 분양주택(총 517세대)부터 적용하는 등 군인 복무비율이 높은 지역, 군사시설 접경지역 등을 대상으로 군인 특별공급을 늘리기로 했다.

군인 특별공급은 ‘주택공급에 관한 규칙’에 따라 10년 이상 복무한 군인과 장기복무 제대군인을 대상으로 하며, 구체적인 확대 비율은 개별 사업지구 입주자 모집공고문을 통해 확정할 예정이다.

이 같은 조치는 낮은 급여 수준과 자가보유율 등 직업군인의 열악한 처우에 대한 개선의 목소리가 높아지는 가운데 안정적인 주거환경 제공으로 군인들의 삶의 질을 높이려는 노력의 일환이라고 GH 측은 설명했다.

실제로 2022년 기준 10년 이상 복무한 직업군인 자가보유율은 42.2%로 국민소득하위 자가보유율(45.8%)보다도 낮았다. 직업군인 10명 중 6명은 무주택자인 셈이다.
