소상공인 지원 특례 보증 사업은 경기신용보증재단에 시가 예산을 출연해 소상공인이 대출을 받을 수 있도록 지원해 주는 제도이다.

시는 14억 원을 출연하고 소상공인은 출연 금액의 10배인 140억 원 보증 규모 내에서 최고 5천만 원까지 지원받을 수 있게 됐다.

시는 특례 보증 사업 추진으로 기술력과 성장 가능성은 있으나 일반적 보장 기준으로는 보증 수혜를 받지 못해 경영자금 마련에 어려움을 겪는 소상공인이 적기에 자금을 지원받아 유동성 위기를 극복하고 경영 안정화와 성장을 도모할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다.

이에 대해 방세환 시장은 “경기침체와 내수 시장 위축으로 소상공인의 어려움 극복을 위한 다양한 경영지원 시책을 확대해 나아갈 계획”이라며 “이번 사업으로 소상공인의 경영 안정에 도움이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.

한편, 시는 지난 2009년 5억 원으로 소상공인 특례 보증 사업을 시작해 지금까지 총 출연 금액 86억 원, 3천727건의 대출을 실행해 845억 원을 보증했다.
