[브레이크뉴스경기남부=안성 이현준기자] 안성시의회가 “안성시의회·안성시 협치를 위한 시민과 함께하는 대토론회”를 주제로 토론회를 개최했다.

30일 시의회에 따르면 토론회는 안성시의회와 안성시 사이에 오랜 갈등으로 발생한 시민 염려를 해소하고, 공직 사회의 질서를 확립하고자 개최된 시민참여형 토론회 소식을 전했다.

이어 토론회에 100여 명이 참석한 가운데, △개회식 △내빈 소개 △기념 촬영 △발제자 발표 △자유토론 △청중 토론(시민 질의응답) △종합토론 및 결론 △폐회 순으로 행사가 진행됐다.

토론회에서는 ‘안성시의 정치발전과 협치’를 주제로 발제자(이원희 한경국립대학교 총장) 발표가 있었으며, 집행부 구성의 원리와 의회 기능을 바탕으로 갈등관리위원회, 협치위원회 등을 구성해 시민이 직접 문제 해결 과정에 참여해야 한다고 제안했다.

이후 좌장(최호섭 안성시의회 운영위원장), 발제자(이원희 한경국립대학교 총장)가 진행한 자유토론에서는 박근미 한국여성유권자연맹 안성지회장, 이중섭 안성시의회 의원, 정인교 안성 이주민을 위한 인권모임 대표, 함은규 전국공무원노동조합 경기지역본부 안성시지부장, 황윤희 안성시의회 의원이 토론자로 참석해 적극적으로 의견을 제시했다.

안정열 안성시의회 의장은 “안성시는 20만 도시 위상에 걸맞는 비전 확립 및 시스템 구축 등 지속 가능한 지역 발전을 위해 적극적인 노력이 필요한 시기”라며 “이번 토론회를 계기로 앞으로 더 발전하는 안성시가 되길 바란다”고 당부했다.

김보라 안성시장은 축사를 통해 “갈등이 발생한 것보다 갈등이 발생했을 때 어떻게 해결할 것인지가 더 중요한 것 같다”며 “이번 토론회는 갈등 해결 방법을 찾는 과정 중 하나이므로, 원활하게 진행되길 바란다”고 말했다.
