[브레이크뉴스경기남부=시흥 이귀선기자] 시흥시가 ‘2024년 제1회 시흥화폐 시루 발행위원회’를 개최했다.

지난 19일 시청 글로벌센터에서 열린 시흥화폐를 운영하는 최고 심의ㆍ의결기구인 ‘시흥화폐 시루 발행위원회’는 공무원 포함 행정영역 6명과 시의원 2명을 포함한 분야별 민간 위촉위원 13명으로 구성돼 있다.

이날 회의는 신규 민간 위촉위원 13명에 대한 위촉장 전달에 이어 호선으로 선출된 신승근 한국공대 교수를 부위원장으로 선임했다.

안건 심의는 발행위원회 산하 분과위원회로 ‘시흥화폐 시루 발전 전담팀(TFT) 구성’ 건이 상정돼 전원 찬성으로 가결됐다.

전담팀은 앞으로 지속 가능한 시흥화폐 시루를 위해 학습과 연구 활동에 전념한다. 특히 지역화폐 관련 정책 및 제도 개선을 위한 연구, 경제 활성화를 넘어 공동체 강화를 위한 모범사례 수집과 현장 방문 등을 수행할 계획이다.
