GTX-C 안산 상록수역 추가정차, 민투심 통과...연내착공‘파란불’

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=안산 이귀선기자] 안산시(시장 이민근)는 제3회 민간투자사업심의위원회에서 ‘수도권광역급행철도(GTX) C노선 민간투자사업 사업시행자 지정 및 실시협약(안)’이 최종 통과돼 GTX-C노선 사업추진이 본격화 될 예정이다.

19일 안산시에 따르면 GTX-C노선은 경기도 양주시 덕정과 수원을 잇는 노선으로 안산 상록수역이 추가 정거장으로 포함돼 준공되면 ▲안산에서 서울 강남까지 30분대 이동 ▲인구유입 및 기업 유치 활성화 ▲향후 개통될 GTX-A·B 노선과 다양한 수도권 철도와의 연계 및 환승 ▲경기북부 지역 접근성 향상 등으로 안산시민의 철도이용 편의와 도시경쟁력 강화에 크게 기여할 것으로 보인다.

국토교통부는 실시협약 체결 및 실시계획 승인 등 행정절차를 마무리한 뒤 연내 착공 목표로 사업을 추진하고 있다.

이민근 안산시장은 “GTX-C노선 사업추진 일정에 맞춰 국가철도공단, 수도권광역급행철도씨노선주식회사(가칭) 측과 상록수역 연장 관련 원인자부담 협약체결 예정”이라며 ”안산시민이 가장 필요로 하는 광역철도망 확대 제공을 위해 사업이 원활히 추진될 수 있도록 최선을 다 할 것”이라고 말했다.
