초등학교 교장 70여명 만난 데 이어 최근 이틀간 중학교 교장 38명과 간담회 

학교별 고충 듣고 해결방안 논의…반사경 등 통학 안전에 필요한 시설 즉시 조치 

교육청과 경찰 등 유관기관과 협력 시스템 구축 의지 밝혀…6월엔 고교 교장들과 간담회 계획 

 

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=용인 이귀선기자] 이상일 용인특례시장은 25, 26일 이틀 간 용인특례시청에서 지역 내 중학교 교장 38명과 간담회를 열었다. 

 

28일 용인특례시에 따르면 관내 학교 교장들로부터 학교별 현안이나 교육발전 방인에 대한 이야기를 듣고 고충이나 애로사항을 해결하는 방안을 모색하는 행보를 이어갔다.

 

두 차례에 걸쳐 모두 3시간 30분 가량 진행된 간담회에서 교장들은 학교별 교육현장의 문제와 고충을 설명하면서 시와 교육청의 지원을 요청했다.

 

교육을 위해서는 개별적인 연락도 환영한다며 소통의 창을 활짝 열어뒀다.

 

이상일 시장은 학교 주변 도로 반사경 설치, 횡단보도 그늘막 설치 등 시 차원에서 할 수 있는 사안은 즉석에서 지원이 가능하다며 관계 부서에 가능한 한 속히 도울 것을 지시했다.

 

전기료 인상으로 학교부담이 증가하는 데 대한 대책 등 경기교육청이나 용인교육지원청과 논의가 필요한 문제에 대해서는 협의를 통해 지원하는 방안을 연구하겠다고 했다.

 

간담회에서 다수의 교장들은 학생들의 등하교길 안전을 강조했다. 교장들은 학교 주변 도로들 가운데 차량 운전자가 보행자를 보기 어려운 시각의 사각지대가 일부 있다며 반사경 설치를 요청했다.
