충북 청주와 증평에서 구제역이 발생함에 따라 선제적 대응에 나섰다.

화성시(시장 정명근)가 16일 구제역 방역대책 회의를 열고 방역사항을 점검했다고 밝혔다.

시에 따르면 지난 4월 한달 공수의사 14명을 동원하여 소, 염소 1,026농가 54,100두에 대한 일제접종을 완료하였으나, 구제역 발생에 따라 긴급 추가접종을 19일까지 완료할 계획이다.

임종철 화성부시장은 “충북 지역에서 지속적으로 발생하고 있는 구제역 발생상황의 문제점을 분석하여 화성시에서는 동 질병이 발생되지 않도록 구제역 백신접종 및 차단방역을 철저히 해줄 것”을 당부하였다.
