5일 용인시에 따르면 101번째를 맞이한 어린이날을 기념해 다양한 체험행사와 공연이 마련된 아동친화도시 용인특례시청에는 아이들의 해맑은 웃음소리가 끊이지 않았다고 전했다.

 

공식행사가 열리기 전 오전 9시부터 아이들의 손을 잡고 행사장에 입장한 부모들도 이날 하루는 아이들과 함께 미소 짓고 잠시 동심으로 돌아갔다.

 

이날 내린 비로 인해 많은 다수의 지자체에서는 어린이날 관련 행사가 취소됐다. 하지만 기지를 발휘해 장소를 청사 내로 변경하고 행사를 예정대로 진행한 용인특례시의 ‘2023 어린이날 대축제’에는 시민들의 발길이 이른 시간부터 이어졌다.

 

안전체험장에서 아이들은 심폐소생술과 교통안전을 직접 체험하고, 공놀이와 탈것이 마련된 스포츠존에서도 아이들은 신나게 뛰어놀 수 있었다.

오전 10시 30분 시작된 공식행사는 어린이헌장 낭독, 어린이날 노래 합창이 진행됐다. 이 자리에서 이상일 용인특례시장은 숨겨진 마술의 고수로 무대 위에 깜짝 등장해 시민들에게 색다른 즐거움을 선사했다.

 

이날 행사장에서 단연 인기를 얻은 용인시 캐릭터인 ‘조아용’이었다. 현장에서 ‘조아용’과 기념사진을 찍기 위한 줄이 이어졌고, 사진을 찍은 후 아이들의 얼굴에는 웃음꽃이 피었다.
