[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 김정은기자] (사)재한외국인지원협회(이사장 강동구)는 지난 5일 대한물치치료사회 경기지부에서 경기도의료기사단체연합회와 업무 협약식을 체결하고, 경기도내 외국인근로자 및 다문화가정 보건의료 향상을 위해 상호협력을 하며, 재한외국인의 건강한 생활을 영위 할 수 있도록 지원 할 것이라고 밝혔다.

경기도 의료기사단체연합회는 물리치료사회,방사선회,안경사회,임상병리사회,작업치료사회,치기공사회,치위생사회가 연합하여 구성한 단체로 3만여명의 회원을 갖고 있으며 국민 보건의료향상을 증진시키기 위해 자원봉사 활동을 꾸준하게 진행하고 있다

재한외국인지원협회는 법무부 허가 비영리 사단법인으로 재한외국인에 대한 기초생활교육, 법률지원, 인권보호, 범죄예방을 위해 노력하고 있으며, 협회는 지난 2014년 이후 법무부로부터 이민자 사회통합 프로그램 운영기관 및 이민자조기적응지원센터로 지정받아 운영되고 있다

강동구 이사장은 “이번 협약으로 소외된 다문화가정과 외국인근로자들에게 건강한 보건서비스를 제공하게 되었다면서 재한외국인들의 한국생활 적응에 도움이 될 수 있는 기반을 마련하게 되었다” 고 했다 또한  “또한 인권사각 지역에 놓여 있는 외국근로자를 위해서도 큰 도움이 될 수 있을 것이다”라고 밝혔다

이번 업무협약은 지역사회 보건복지발전과 나눔문화확산, 자원봉사 인적·물적 인프라 구축 등 필요한 사항에 대해 협력하고자 진행되었다.

이날 참석한 경기도의료기사단체연합회 김구식 부회장은 “이번 업무협약을 계기로 다문화가정 및 외국인근로자들에게 도움을 줄 수 있고, 나눔문화 확산 및 다양한 자원봉사 사업을 공동으로 추진하여 서로 돕는 지역사회를 만드는 데 이바지하겠다”고 말했다.
