시흥시, 유아 환경교육 창작 그림책 출간

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=시흥 이귀선기자] 시흥시(시장 임병택)는 시흥에코센터 초록배곧과 함께 유아 눈높이에 맞는 자원순환 주제 창작 그림책 '쓰레기산의 마법 상점'을 출간했다.  

쓰레기산의 마법 상점은 주인공 시훈이가 마을 사람들과 협력해 자원순환을 실천하는 내용이다. 자원순환 비법을 전수하는 마법사와 올바른 분리배출을 유도하는 마법 장갑이 등장해 유아의 흥미를 유도한다.  

시흥에코센터는 2020년부터 시흥지역의 특색을 반영한 창작 그림책을 출간하고 있다. 첫 번째 그림책 <초록빛 뿜뿜>은 곰솔누리숲의 역사와 생물다양성 주제를 담고 있으며, 두 번째 그림책 <쓰레기산의 마법 상점>은 자원순환 주제를 담고 있다.

센터는 창작 그림책을 활용해 구연동화, 인형극, 비대면 활동 프로그램 등 다양한 환경교육 콘텐츠도 발굴하고 있다.  

시 관계자는 “시흥의 지역 특색과 환경 현안을 반영한 창작 그림책을 지속적으로 출간하여 환경교육 활성화에 기여 할 것”이라며 “내년에는 생태계의 보고인 시화호의 생물다양성을 주제로 그림책을 제작할 계획”이라고 말했다.
