이번 농부장터는 오는 7월 24일까지 한 달간 매주 주말 오전 11시부터 오후 6시까지 시흥시연꽃테마파크 잔디광장에서 만나볼 수 있다.

농부장터는 시흥시에서 매년 농가 판로 확대를 위해 열어온 농산물 직거래 장터다. 특히 올해는 사회적 거리두기 해제로 3년 만에 대면 개최한 것이어서 의미가 있다.

이날 직거래 장터에서는 관내 15여 농가 및 업체에서 생산하는 과채류, 벌꿀, 버섯, 화훼류, 농산물 가공식품 등이 시중보다 저렴한 가격에 판매됐다. 개장을 축하하기 위한 시흥시립전통예술단의 공연으로 풍성한 볼거리도 제공했다.

한영규 농부장터 운영협의회 회장은 “오랜만에 대면으로 열리는 농부장터가 농특산물 판로 확대에 큰 도움이 될 것”이라고 기대감을 내비쳤다.
