광명시, 투표소 인권영향평가 실시- 장애인·노약자·임산부 등의 참정권 보장 및 접근성 확보를 위한 투표소 개선안 제시
[브레이크뉴스경기남부=광명 이귀선기자] 광명시 시민인권센터는 제8회 전국동시지방선거를 앞두고 광명시 투표소를 대상으로 인권영향평가를 실시하고, 광명시 선거관리위원회에 투표소 환경 개선을 위한 협조를 요청했다고 26일 밝혔다.

인권영향평가단과 장애인, 장애인편의증진기술지원센터 전문가 등은 광명시 사전투표소(9개소)와 각 지역별 투표소(16개소) 25개소를 방문해 ▲장애인 전용 주차구간 지정 여부 ▲투표소까지의 이동 거리 ▲휠체어 탑승 가능 승강기 설치 여부 ▲이동 구간 장애물 유무 ▲장애인용 화장실 설치 여부 등 5개 영역 18개 항목을 점검했다.
점검 결과 ▲장애인 전용 주차구역 알림 표지판 부재 ▲투표소까지 이동거리가 너무 멀거나 찾아가기 어려운 투표소 ▲장애인용 화장실 이용 불편 등 문제점에 대해서는 투표 당일 안내 표지판을 곳곳에 설치하고 시각장애인 유도블록 및 장애인용 화장실을 정비하는 등 현장 조치하도록 했다.
