[Break News Gyeonggi Nambu = Reporter Lee Gwi-seon] Yongin City Youth Future Foundation Suji Youth Culture House held the second activity of the ecological coexistence project ‘Butterfly Effect’ on the 21st for 14 middle and high school students in Yongin City.

This activity was conducted in the order of low-carbon education and value consumption, horizontal and vertical environmental quiz, understanding the difference between Earth Day and Environment Day, and making low-carbon snacks. The low-carbon snacks prepared by the youth under the guidance of a professional baking instructor were delivered to the local children's center along with their friends.

Participant Seohee Kim (a first year student at Yongin Daedeok Middle School) said, “To be honest, I had little interest in the environment, but I also learned what value consumption is and why I should buy low-carbon certified products. It seems like it was a good time to learn about Green Bond and Earth Day that she didn't know about while she was doing horizontal and vertical puzzles. I was grateful and proud to think that the local children's center dongsaengs would enjoy the cookies and muffins we made. I'll have to study harder about the environment in the future. Finally, by 2050, we hope to achieve true zero carbon emissions. ” she said.

The Ecological Coexistence Project ‘Butterfly Effect’ is a program that provides young people with opportunities to think about environmental pollution and encourages local youth and residents to actively participate in environmental issues by conducting various environmental volunteer activities.
