[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 김정은기자] 이재준 수원시장 후보가 24일 수원시 상인연합회 토론회에 참석해 “수원페이 지원 규모를 확대하고 결제 수수료를 전액 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

이날 영동시장 2층 대강당에서 열린 토론회에서 이재준 후보는 수원시 상인연합회와 스타필드 입점으로 인한 상생방안, 전통시장 활성화, 전통시장 지원방안, 팔달문 성곽 복원에 따른 상생방안 등을 이야기 했다.

이재준 후보는 우선 현재 수원페이 지원규모를 확대하고 상인들의 수원페이 결제 수수료 전액을 지원하겠다고 강조했다.

스타필드 입점으로 인한 상생방안에 대해서는 스타필드 근로자에게 급여 일부를 지역화폐로 지급해 전통시장에서 사용하는 방안을 제시했다.

또 상권영향평가를 통한 상인회의 손실보상 금액을 기반으로 수원시에서 자체 용역을 추진해 과학적인 방법으로 피해보상 규모를 산정, 스타필드와 적극 협상하겠다고 밝혔다.

수원시 전통시장 22곳에 대해서는 기존 시장매니저 사업을 확대 개편해 상인회장, 시장매니저, 관계부서가 함께하는 ‘전통시장 발전협의체’를 만들겠다는 내용의 방안을 제시했다. 전통시장 발전협의체를 통해 협의체 회의를 정례화해 전통시장의 원활한 지원을 한다는 계획이다.

이 밖에도 전통시장의 시설 현대화와 더불어 소프트웨어 현대화의 필요성을 이야기했다. 또 향후 복원되는 팔달문 성곽을 외국 성공사례와 같이 전통문화유산과 시장이 결합한 새로운 관광사업을 만들겠다는 계획도 제시했다.

이재준 수원시장 후보는 “저희 어머니는 채소장사를 하셨던 분이라 전통시장 상인의 마음을 그 누구보다 잘 이해한다”며 “상인들과 지속적으로 만나 의견을 듣고 이를 반영해 수원시 모든 상인 분들이 활짝 웃으며 맘 편하게 장사할 수 있도록 만들겠다”고 밝혔다.
