[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 김정은기자] 경기도장애인체육회는 24일 화성시 비봉면의 딸기 재배 농가를 방문해 사무처 임직원 19명이 참여한 가운데 딸기모 제거 작업 등 농촌 일손돕기 봉사활동을 진행했다.

이날 봉사활동은 도장애인체육회와 경기농협, 고향주부모임이 영농철 농촌일손부족 문제 해소 및 기업의 ESG 경영과 연계한 농업·농촌 대상 지역사회 공헌활동 수요 충족을 위해 함께 하게 됐다.

허범행 경기도장애인체육회 경영본부장(사무처장 직무대행)은 “이번 봉사활동에 직원들이 적극적으로 참여해줘서 기쁘다”라며 “경기도장애인체육회는 우리 사회에 도움을 실천할 수 있는 기관으로 거듭나기 위해 앞으로도 꾸준히 봉사활동을 지속해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

이에 이재진 농협중앙회 경기지역본부 부본부장은 “코로나19와 농촌 고령화로 인해 일손이 부족한 상황인데 모두 참여해 주셔서 감사하다”라며 “앞으로도 이러한 작은 정성들이 모여 농촌에 큰 활력이 됐으면 좋겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 경기도장애인체육회는 앞으로도 사회적 책임을 다하기 위해 지속적인 사회공헌 활동을 추진할 계획이다.
