오산시, 평생학습대상 수상으로 트리플크라운 달성

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=김정은기자] 오산시(시장 곽상욱)가 시행 중인 ‘자발적 학습공동체 공(共)공(公)프로젝트, 런앤런(Run & Learn)’이 제18회 대한민국 평생학습대상에서 올해의 평생학습 사업부문 대상에 선정돼 5일 순천시에서 개최된 제7회 대한민국 평생학습박람회 개막식에서 국무총리상을 수상했다.

 

오산시는 또 최근 3년간 우수한 평생학습 성과를 낸 도시에 수여하는 ‘2021년 평생학습도시 재지정평가 우수도시상’을 함께 수상했다.

 

교육부가 주최하고 국가평생교육진흥원이 주관하는 대한민국 평생학습대상은 대한민국 어디서나 생활 속 평생학습을 실천하고 있는 사회 각계각층의 평생학습문화 확산 우수사례를 발굴해 시상한다.

 

우수평생학습도시상은 2018년부터 2020년까지 3년간의 사업체계, 사업운영, 사업성과 등 3개 영역에 대해 평가를 실시해 상위 6개 도시에만 주어지는 상이다.

 

오산시는 2014년 ‘시민참여학교’로 대상, 2018년 ‘오늘e ; 학습플랫폼 구축’으로 장려상을 수상한 바 있어, 이번 대상 수상으로 명실공히 전국 최고의 평생학습도시임을 다시 입증했다.

 

오산시는 2015년 평생학습도시로 지정된 뒤 2016년 유네스코 글로벌 학습도시 네트워크 가입하고, 지난 달 27일 유네스코 학습도시 국제회의에서 ‘2021년 유네스코 학습도시상’을 수상함으로 국제적으로도 평생학습 모델도시로 인정받고 있다.  

 

이번에 대상을 수상한 ‘자발적 학습공동체 공(共)공(公)프로젝트, 런앤런(Run & Learn)’ 소규모 인원이 모여 학습 모임을 구성하고 강좌를 신청하면 원하는 시간, 장소에서 배움을 실천함으로써 학습기회에 접근이 어려운 지역이나 소외된 계층에게 그들의 요구에 부응하는 강좌를 제공하는 시민맞춤형 평생학습 프로젝트다.

 

런앤런 프로젝트는 ▲지역 내 전문성을 가진 유휴 인적자원을 활용하여 새로운 일자리를 창출하고 ▲누구나 누리는 평생학습을 지향하여 소외됨 없는 평생학습 기회를 제공하며 ▲지역 내 소통과 통합을 통한 지속적인 학습공동체를 형성함으로 지역 공동체 회복에 기여하고 있다.
